City Clerk

The City Clerk’s Office is the support staff for the Cortez City Council. The department prepares the agenda packets and minutes for the City Council meetings and also processes public notices, ordinances, and resolutions.

The City Clerk’s Office Also Handles Licenses

  • Liquor establishments (including Special Event Permits)
  • Medical marijuana centers/retail marijuana centers

Records requests and municipal election information may also be obtained through the City Clerk’s Office.
