The City of Cortez is a home rule municipality and self-collects its sales tax. City sales tax is directly remitted to the City of Cortez and not the State of Colorado.

Important Update:

The City of Cortez has implemented mandatory online registration for new sales tax licenses and also for the filing and remittance of sales tax returns.
