[ARCHIVED] Cortez Safe Streets Interactive Website Continues to Collect Safety Concerns

Cortez Safety Action Plan 2024 - Safe Streets For All

Sign up now! We invite Cortez and Montezuma County residents to help identify roadway safety issues in Cortez using the interactive map - CortezSafeStreets.com

The City of Cortez and the Cortez Police Department, in coordination with Bohannan Huston, is excited to announce the development of a NEW Safety Action Plan!  The project aims to provide a roadmap to achieve zero traffic fatalities and serious injuries in Cortez for all modes of transportation, including walking, biking, and driving. The website relies on the community to share their concerns for vehicle, pedestrian and bicycle safety.

The Safety Action plan is a part of the nationwide Safe Streets for All grant program: https://www.transportation.gov/grants/SS4A

We invite all to visit the website, and to help identify the problem areas in the Cortez city limits.  Focus groups have begun to take shape!

For additional information, interactive project materials, and more visit our project website at: https://www.cortezsafestreets.com. To reach the project team, email us at CortezSafeStreets@bhinc.com
