The event has been postponed due to weather ad the Shield616 team traveling from Colorado Springs.
We regret to inform you that the Shield616 Angel Armor Vest Presentation and livestream event, originally scheduled for Thursday, November 7th, has been postponed due to inclement weather. The safety of our attendees is our top priority, and we cannot risk compromising it.
The presentation team is traveling from Colorado Springs, and with the current forecast and predicted road conditions, we have made the difficult decision to reschedule. We are currently working on securing an alternate date and will update everyone once the new plans are finalized.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding. We will keep you informed about the new date, which will be confirmed at a later time.
Thank you for understanding.

Officers Jason Giacchino and Tyler Smith joined the Tour de Shield616 273-mile bicycle ride in May raising over $12,000 to honor Sergeant Michael Moran who was killed in the line of duty on November 29, 2023. The goal was to provide 125 rifle-rated Angel Armor Vests to law enforcement across Colorado and of those, thirty vests dedicated to the Cortez Police Department. These new vests provide better protection to all sworn officers as they protect our community.
