Congratulations to Nicholas Arbogast, 1st place winner of the Cortez 140th Anniversary Logo Design Competition! The logo is now available for download and also at Brand Central and Pioneer Printing for all your business merchandising ideas in 2026!
In 2026, the City of Cortez will observe the anniversary of three important events – the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the 150th anniversary of Colorado’s entrance into the Union as an official State, and the 140th anniversary of the platting of Cortez. To mark these special occasions, the City of Cortez hosted a design competition for a commemorative logo and Nick Arbogast was chosen as the winning designer!
The design is available now for free! Download as a vector image, PDF, PNG, and JPG on the City’s website. Local businesses, organizations, and community members are welcomed and encouraged to download the commemorative logo for use in their own products and marketing campaigns around the 2026 events.
The logos have also been shared with Brand Central - 113 East Main Street and Pioneer Printing - 110 East Main Street for walk-in orders. Grab a shirt or a hat and celebrate the 140th Anniversary of Cortez.
