The City of Cortez and Montezuma-Cortez School District will host a community meeting on the planned improvements to roads and sidewalks near Mesa Elementary School on Tuesday, September 30th from 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm with presentations each half hour.
Community members are encouraged to drop-in to learn about planned improvements and provide feedback on the initial designs. These improvements are part of a Safe Routes to School grant through the State of Colorado. The City and engineering consultants will provide a short presentation on the project at 4:30, 5:00, and 5:30 pm. A construction timeline has not been finalized, but the community will be asked for feedback on potential time frames.
The meeting will be held in the gym at Mesa Elementary School, 703 West 7th Street, Cortez.
A synopsis of the meeting will be shared afterwards with an option to provide feedback digitally.
