You may have noticed Truck Norris out there collecting recyclables this week. If it looks like they are just being dumped into a trash truck, that's half right.
The recycled materials are being collected as loose items as part of a three-week data collection project, and yes, transported to a material recovery facility. (All except for glass items - they are separated).
This will allow Cortez to get a 'material grade' for our recycling reports, future operations, and potential grants.
Just keep doing what you're doing with your recycle bins, and we'll do the rest.
