PUBLIC NOTICE
FROM THE CORTEZ MUNICIPAL AIRPORT CONCERNING DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS
ENTERPRISE (“DBE”) GOALS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Cortez, as owner of the Cortez Municipal Airport, is soliciting
public comment from any group or individual wishing to comment for Disadvantaged Business Enterprise
(DBE) programs:
• Overall Annual Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) DBE Program Goal of 4.9% for Federal
Fiscal Year (FFY) 2023 (49 CFR Part 26)
The DBE goal was established based on the relative availability of DBE’s in relationship to all available
firms. The Airport plans to achieve this overall DBE goal via race neutral means (without regard to the
firm’s DBE status).
A copy of the Airport’s DBE goal and rationale are available for inspection for 30 days from the date of
this notice during normal business hours at City Hall, which is located at 123 Roger Smith Avenue
Cortez, CO 81321.
The Airport also hereby solicits public comment from any group or individual wishing to comment on the
above DBE overall goal or rationale. Public comment will be accepted by the Airport for 30 days from the
date of this notice and should be submitted in writing to:
