The Cortez Municipal Airport conducted a safety training exercise with local emergency service agencies on Wednesday, September 13th from 8am until noon. The scenario was that of a downed medical helicopter with injured occupants off of Road G and Road 21. Participants included Classic Air Medical, Montezuma County Sheriff's Office, Montezuma County Office of Emergency Management, Cortez Fire Protection District, Cortez Police Department and Dispatch, Southwest EMS and Dolores County Office of Emergency Management.
