The City of Cortez, Candelaria Construction and the Cortez Sanitation District thanks the residents of Cedar Street and area for their continued patience! The Improvement anticipates a finish date of November 22nd barring any unexpected delays or weather.
The on-going new waterline installment and house tie-ins will be complete this week. Concrete will be right behind with a completion of Monday 11-13-23. Tuesday 11-14-23, paving will begin, and the mainline will be complete by Friday 11-17-23. The following week 11-20-23- will be miscellaneous asphalt areas, and valve/manhole adjustment concrete work. Dates are contingent on weather.
The crews will be on the street from daylight until dark. 7:30 am to 5:30pm.
Traffic Control will be lane shifts, temporary closures, and onsite flaggers. When paving is happening there are times you will not be able to drive on it. Use alternate routes or parking. Once the pavement is compacted, the street will re-open.
