The City of Cortez Recycling will be on HOLD until further notice due to an equipment malfunction at the Montezuma County Landfill.
Residential and Commercial accounts - There will be no pick-up or drop-off for Plastics, Cardboard, and Office Paper RECYCLING until further notice.
Metal recycling will continue to be available at the public drop-off only - 110 West Progress Circle
Regular trash and lawn debris collection will not be affected. If you have any questions, please contact Cortez Public Works - 970-565-7320.
Message from The Montezuma County Landfill: We will not be accepting plastics, cardboard, or office paper for recycling at this time while we work to repair our baler. We are still accepting metal for recycling, as well as household waste, green waste, e-waste, and construction debris. We'll let you know as soon as we're back up and running!
