All updates regarding the status of the landfill's repair will be provided by the Montezuma County Landfill. The City of Cortez will resume its residential pick-up recycling operations once the landfill operations are back to normal.

Montezuma County Landfill Baler update
While the long-awaited parts for the baler have been received and installed, the modem for the system has now gone out. A new modem has been ordered and is expected to be delivered mid-August.
We appreciate everyone's patience as we've worked to solve these issues in the most economical way possible. Please give us just a little longer to be back up and running.
The Landfill staff has been overwhelmed with phone calls related to the baler repair. Please know that we will post updated information on this FB page, as well as the County website, as soon as we have it. Again, thanks for your continued patience.
