  • If it is not an emergency, call our department at (970) 565-8441. For emergencies dial 911.

  • You may come to the Cortez Police Department, 608 North Park Street, between 7 am and 5 pm, Monday-Thursday or 7 am and 3:30 pm, Fridays, and complete a records request form with the records technician.

  • The Cortez Police Department no longer provides services for applicant fingerprinting. Per CBI policy, physical cards will no longer be accepted or processed by CBI. Please visit coloradofingerprinting.com or call (833) 224-2227 to schedule your appointment. As of 02/13/2020, they still have a local location but you must schedule your appointment before they give you the location, as they do not accept walk-ins. If you have further questions regarding fingerprinting, they may be answered by CBI/Colorado Fingerprinting at (833) 224-2227.
